Kevin Owens comes out to Sami Zayn's theme, he comes out wearing the John Cena 'The Champ is Here' T-Shirt. Kevin Owens gets on the microphone and cuts a great promo, he starts off by saying that he would do an NXT Championship Open Challenge but he is not that insecure so he doesn't have to defend his title against anybody to prove himself. My most notable line from the first bit would be when the crowd was chanting "John Cena Sucks" Owens said "I've never heard you guys chant Sami Zayn sucks, but he does too". He talks about being called a bad person and that that is not true, he says that he is a good man and he gives examples for ex letting Samoa Joe have his moment and other things. The line of the promo was easily when Owens was saying that is is ridiculous that people say he is scared of Samoa Joe "It's almost as ridiculous as the colors on John Cena's merchandise".
William Regal comes out to "Regal" chants, Regal says that Owens is walking a thin line. Owens says that Regal touched him first so it was okay. Regal then says that that is the only reason he is still working here which was a great line. Regal tells him that in 6 months he has made Sami Zayn, Alex Riley, Hideo Itami-Owens cuts him off and tells him he didn't do it. Solomon Crowe comes out and tells Kevin Owens that he's scared and after what he did to Sami Zayn last week he is a piece of crap. Owens says that Crowe as just earnt himself an opportunity, Regal then announces that the Main Event will be Kevin Owens vs. Solomon Crowe. Owens then says that he has made Neville, Riley, Zayn, Zayn and Zayn all be stretchered out and Solomon Crowe is next.
Rating-Pretty Good (Four great lines that I will be remembering)
They show the clip from NXT Takeover: Unstoppable before the show when Enzo Amore, Carmella and Big Cass were getting out of the car when they flash to Hideo Itami on the ground holding his shoulder and Kevin OWens walking past saying "That's a shame". Hideo Itami is then interviewed in the trainers room where he basically says that someone attacked him and he will get revenge.
They show an interview with Zack Ryder from NXT Takeover: Unstoppable where he says how it was a great show but he had to sit next to Mojo Rawley. Mojo Rawley comes in and these two exchange a little comedic lines where Rawley copies everything Ryder says in a happy voice.
2. Singles Match
Bayley vs. Emma w/Dana Brooke
This match was good, Bayley and Emma traded some blows including a strong kick from Emma to Bayley. This match ended with Emma locking in the bridging chinlock (I think that's what it was) and Bayley submitted which I groaned for because I really want Bayley to win. Emma and Dana Brooke took down Bayley with some shots before Charlotte came out to try and make the save but Emma and Dana Brooke were having none of it as they took down her too to end the segment.
They show the same video package of Becky Lynch that they have been showing for the last month only this time they included footage from her match with Sasha Banks at Unstoppable for the NXT Women's Championship.
3. Tag Team Match
Blake and Murphy w/Alexa Bliss vs. Elias Samson and Mike Ralis
When I first heard the ring announcement I could have sworn it was Mike Rollins, anyway this match was most a squash match where Blake and Murphy lay waste to Samson and Ralis. Bliss really gives the team the element they were lacking or missing, after the match Alexa Bliss hit Mike Ralis with the Sparkle Splash which was almost Chyna esk where the female manager would take down the opponents during or after the match.
Rating-*1/2, Winner-Blake and Murphy
Backstage Blake, Murphy and Alexa Bliss are interviewed, in this interview all the talking was done by Alexa Bliss who says that Carmella is used to being around garbage. That's why she aligned herself with Enzo and Cass, next week she will send her back to the garbage dump where she came from.
4. Singles Match
Finn Balor vs. Tye Dillinger
Raise your hand if you think Tye Dillinger is going to win this match, I just felt like doing that. This match was rather quick and it ended with the Double Foot Stomp for the pinfall victory therefore Finn Balor wins the match.
Rating-**, Winner-Finn Balor
There is a segment in the weight room with Jason Jordan and it turns out he is now going to be tag team partners with Chad Gable.
5. Singles Match
Kevin Owens vs. Solomon Crowe
This match was your typical Kevin Owens squash match, Crowe got a small bit of offense in this match but that didn't turn into anything. Kevin Owens beat down Crowe on the outside of the ring a bit before getting him back into the ring, the ending to the match saw Owens knock down Crowe before hitting a running senton to Crowe. From there Owens hit Crowe with the Pop-Up Powerbomb for the 1...2...3 to win the match and continue his momentum. After the match Owens throws Crowe to the outside of the ring before setting up the Powerbomb onto the apron when Samoa Joe's theme music hit (that theme song is terrible), Joe comes down to the ring. Owens signals for Joe to get into the ring but when he does Owens gets out of the ring before walking up the stage staring down a seething Samoa Joe.
Rating-**1/4, Winner-Kevin Owens
Overall Show Rating-3.5/5; Once again NXT is so easy to sit threw, Kevin Owens was easily the star of this show. Kevin opened up the show with that superb promo which had several memorable lines, some of those lines include: "I've never heard you guys say Sami Zayn sucks but he does too", "It's almost as ridiculous as the colors of John Cena's merchandise", "So who did I take out on a stretcher again; Neville, Riley, Zayn, Zayn, Zayn and you can add him (Solomon Crowe) to that list". Those lines were priceless. Emma vs. Bayley was good for what it was, Blake and Murphy vs. Elias Samson and Mike Rallis was a squash match that did do anything for me. Finn Balor defeated Tye Dillinger in a fun match and the main event between Kevin Owens and Solomon Crowe which was a quick match dominated by Owens before Owens picked up the victory. Then Joe made an apparence to build up their match. Overall this was a good show just like NXT always is.
